When it came time to apply for college, I made the decision to attend the local university that was only 30 minutes from home. I assured my mom I was certain and paid my non-refundable deposit. And then 4 days later I changed my mind (and lost my deposit), but I believe it was one of those emboldened decisions that changed the course of my life. And so the University of Wisconsin – Madison became my home for the next four years. I made lifelong friends, learned about being an adult, and earned my B.A. in psychology.
